Actually a new error occurs (broken packages) when installing this via
"aptitude update":

Failed to perform requested operation on package.  Trying to recover:

 metacity depends on libmetacity-private1 (= 1:3.12.0-1ubuntu1); however:
  Package libmetacity-private1 is not installed.
 metacity depends on metacity-common (= 1:3.12.0-1ubuntu1); however:
  Version of metacity-common on system is 1:2.34.13-0ubuntu4.

dpkg: error processing package metacity (--configure):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
