No, I've installed Unity 7.2.3 from trusty/proposed, but that did not
fix my issue.

However I don't believe that this is the same bug. By looking at his
screenshot, you can see that the line of pixels is separating his *dash*
from the launcher, not his launcher and other windows (content).

For me, windows can't get closer than that 1px bar to the launcher, i.e.
it functions as a border. But the dash works fine, it's as close as it
should be I believe - as you can see on the screenshot that I am
attaching.
