vivid .iso boots to black screen.
Ctrl-Alt-F1 sign in,
ls /var/crash
_usr_bin_compiz.1000.crash

sudo service lightdm restart
was able to install.

Booted after install, got intermittently flashing wallpaper.
Ctrl-Alt-F1 sign in
ls /var/crash
_usr_bin_compiz.1000.crash

up and running.  Tried a 
sudo ubuntu-bug _usr_bin_compiz.1000.crash
got the drop down message about an internal error
Asked to report the bug.
that's all. Ubuntu-bug never went to launchpad.

Has been running utopic fine since mid September.

Does this look like similar unity problems as in Bug #1366351 comment
