navidR: This does not, in fact, remove the problem. If you open enough
windows it will come back. All these (and other) settings seems to do is
reduce the peak GPU memory requirements of the window manager, and so
the problem goes away given the same number of open windows. Push the
memory requirements back up (e.g. by opining more windows) and
eventually the problem will come back.
