[Bug 815996] Re: Desktop occasionally freezes/locks up when switching workspaces
On 14.04 the same: when I switch workspace in windows oftentimes it get stuck on workspace mode (where I see the 4 workspaces). The moust pointer becomes a hand and there is no way to switch back to normal mode. This seems to happen more if there are windows refreshing (e.g. a tail in some terminal window). I typically get out of this by kill -HUP <compiz> from Ctrl+Alt+F1
I could not get out of it disabling snapping windows because it said unity plugin requires.
VGA driver is fglrx proprietary
