Still affecting KDE users on 14.04 LTS.

Here's a workaround I found on the KDE bug tracker:

cat > ~/.kde/env/fix_gtk3.sh << EOF
#!/bin/sh
export GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1
EOF
chmod +x ~/.kde/env/fix_gtk3.sh
