To make a suggestion, if binding the Escape key is not going to produce
any result, then the interface should be configured to disallow it and a
log message should be produced for any time it is set and/or used.

So if I Click 'Grab' and Press <ctrl>Escape, then the binding should not
be set and a error box should popup.

This would make me sad, but not as sad as setting a binding and having
the setting accepted but have nothing happen when I try to use it.
