I have checked this issue again with stable as well as in windows7 all in one  
but result is same I did not face any problem as yours so currently 
I am closing this issue.you can reopen this issue  with more clarification.

Title:
  tab out of a product selector does not add tax

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  adding a product to a sales order if you select the product you want
  from the typeahead dropdown and tab out of the field it does not fire
  the event to add the tax and do stock level checking.
