We have provide only 'yyyy-mm-dd'  format on Extended filter,Which is already improved in 6.1 trunk with date widget format
 so would you please try with this format, it's working properly .

  Extended filters does not works on dates

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hello,

  I tryed to use an extended filter on a date, but nothing works. I
  tryed equals, contains, greater than, less than, ... with dates
  mm.dd.yyyy, dd.mm.yyyy, dd/mm/yyyy,  mm/dd/yyyy... But nothing is
  filtered in the view.

  Are the extended filters not expected for dates?
