Thanks a lot for this workaround. I used your idea, disabling wkf_transition. 
I just changed two things : 
- The script disables wkf_transition in post-migration just before manipulation of partners ; 
- The script enables wkf_transition just after manipulation of partners, to reduce the time when the values are "incorrect".
