The way I understand LAZY in my native Australian is LIKE A SLOTH.

Someone who is LAZY would never expend the effort to make a machine do something. They would complain until someone else, who was not lazy, did it!!

thanks! About the wording: I'm not completely sure how a native speaker of English takes it. In my world, lazyness is what brought about all the cool technological stuff we have: We were to lazy to do it ourselves, so working hard to make a machine do it is simply a rational way of being lazy ;-)
