Re: Report: Banning of user Rccu

 

I agree that it's too bad this had to happen. I'm also intereted in knowing exactly what caused the ban.

Last weekend I was watching the channel for a bit and there wasn't any Linux or #! discussion; it was mostly drugs and music and what terms would irk the FBI. .

I made a few comments asking them to get serious, but it lead me to wonder if we have/, or should create, an "IRC channel rules" page on the wiki that is linked to in the channel greeting.

This way, there's no question about what is permitted in the channel and ops can refer people to the posted rules when folks misbehave.

Rccu has been acting up again, I felt that he's been warned enough
times (with dnyy alone kicking him twice). As the guy has registered
his nick i've set him as a +b flag on the channel, which is auto
kickban. I know it's sad to come to this sometimes but the guy was a
PITA :)
