Thanks for the announcement (read in the tesseract usergroup). I tried
to compile under Ubuntu 8.04. The compilation (following the readme
file) was apparently easy, but the programme exits with this error
message:

cuneiform clip.bmp
cuneiform: error while loading shared libraries: libpuma.so: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

No difference running the programme as root.

Any suggestion?
