Never tried to actually install it. You might wish to try

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib64 cuneiform

and if it works then man ldconfig to add it to the search path.

sudo apt-get install libmagick++-dev

/me thinks this needs to be added to the README, as it seems that it's
quite a widespread issue for newcomers.
