Thanks Ryan for this much better fix. This LGTM and the new vmtest passes fine, however to run it I had to comment out the is_unsupported_ubuntu(cls.release) check in setUpClass (and set __test__ = True, of course). Is there a smarter way to force the execution of vmtests for unsupported releases?
