i think originally this was added, without access to these commands / without access to s390x.

Hence it was useful to have raw/unparsed outputs, to be able to code this on the planes to/from cape town, without live connection to a mainframe.

I wonder, if one can take a mainframe as a carry-on in business class. Maybe airforce 1 has a few?
