I've been using the ubuntu/latest branch at
https://salsa.debian.org/gstreamer-team/gst-plugins-good1.0/ to maintain
this package. I think we have good synergy with the Debian maintainer so
I think it makes sense to keep doing this.

I'm an Owner of the gstreamer-team on Salsa so I can additional people
if someone else wants to co-maintain this there.

  A new release of gst-plugins-good1.0 is available for merging from
  Debian Unstable.

  If it turns out this needs a sync rather than a merge, please change
  the tag 'dcr-merge' to 'dcr-sync', and (optionally) update the title
  as desired.

  If this merge pulls in a new upstream version, also consider adding an
  entry to the questing Release Notes:

    * Resynchronize on Debian. Remaining changes:
      + Import plugins from -bad that are needed for main applications.
        - jpegformat
        - camerabin (+ basecamerabinsrc + photography)
      + Add a library package containing the shared library and a -dev package for
        compiling against it. Add Breaks and Replaces against the plugins packages
        which formerly contained files shipped here.
      + Add 'pluginsdir' variable to our added pcfile for compatibility with
        some external software
      + debian/gbp.conf: Update Vcs-* for Ubuntu
      + debian/rules: Disable amrnb and amrwbdec because opencore-amr is
        currently in universe in Ubuntu, and packages in main cannot
        depend on it
      + debian/gstreamer1.0-plugins-good.install: Drop
        usr/lib/*/gstreamer-1.0/libgstamrnb.so and
        usr/lib/*/gstreamer-1.0/libgstamrwbdec.so
