[Bug 2077538] Re: gnome-remote-desktop uses software rendering
One proposed systemd change is to drop -Dgroup-render-mode=0660, reverting back to upstream's default of 666: https://salsa.debian.org/systemd-team/systemd/-/blob/01b5b96a2f85594c2c8caf5d10048a4ec41f9d89/debian/rules#L97
The effect of the change is to grant system-wide access to GPU resources (but not directly to the screens).
An alternative proposed systemd change is to make logind apply these
ACLs to headless sessions too.

Bug description:
gnome-remote-desktop uses software rendering by default, which is
incredible slow on some hardwares. If the user is added to the video
and render group, graphics acceleration is used. These groups are not
in the default, so I think it would make sense to add them.
