[Bug 2019559] Re: PipeWire Buffer Underruns with Wine
It's a shame that you take this attitude. Ubuntu seems to recklessly
deploy software without testing. This was not the case ten years ago.
So many useful things destroyed by pipewire, most notably wine and pulse
effects. Anything Poettering touchings goes to hell in a hand basket.

Title:
PipeWire Buffer Underruns with Wine
Status in pipewire package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
This is similar to bug #1929237 but with a different source and since
this involves pulse-pipewire it may be related to that module.
I am SO FRUSTRATED with Ubuntu, seems every release just breaks more
stuff. I HAD Pulse Audio working perfectly, no matter what source, no
matter how loaded, no stuttering, simply had to adjust some buffer
sizes up from the ridiculous defaults.
Now WinAmp under Wine sounds like shit, stutters horridly, and there
seems to be no decent documentation for the new disaster known as
Pipewire. Didn't think anyone could possibly write code more buggy
than Poettering but someone had to come along and prove me wrong.
Can someone tell me where to adjust buffer sizes in pipewire to stop
this GawdAweful Stuttering?
