[Bug 2111252] Re: E: Package 'libcanberra-gtk-module' has no installation candidate
Hello,
If I may comment this topic, I have the same issue when I try to install Rainlendar (lite or pro) 2.22.1 amd64 : needs libcanberra-gtk-module but i can't install it manually (I understood that it's old and replaced by gtk3, but even installing it, it doesn't work (I also wrote to rainlendar support, but no feedback yet)
I'm running with AnduinOS 1.3.3 (Ubuntu 25.04; gnome 48; linux kernel 6.14 if those informations are helpfull...)

Title:
E: Package 'libcanberra-gtk-module' has no installation candidate
Status in libcanberra package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I get the following when I try to run some GUI programs on Ubuntu
25.04:
Gtk-Message: 12:32:46.627: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
So, I tried to install `libcanberra-gtk-module` (gtk-2.0) package.
However, I get:
Package libcanberra-gtk-module is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package 'libcanberra-gtk-module' has no installation candidate
Indeed, this package is not available in plunky.

module&searchon=names&suite=all§ion=all
Please note: libcanberra-gtk3-module package is already installed on
the system. But, this does not solve my initial problem.
