Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug.  I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Title:
  Calendar icon always shows static "28" in Ubuntu 24.04.2

Status in gnome-calendar package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  The calendar icon in Ubuntu 24.04.2 with Wayland always displays the
  number "28", regardless of the actual system date. This issue persists
  across icon themes (e.g. Yaru, Colloid), unless manually patched using
  a community workaround:

  The icon appears to be a static SVG with no dynamic update mechanism.
  Even with Google Calendar sync enabled, the icon does not reflect the
  current date.

  Suggested improvements:
  - Implement support for dynamic calendar icons that update daily.
  - Replace static icons with generic ones that do not show misleading dates.
  - Consider packaging the community script as an optional utility.

  This issue has been discussed before (e.g. bug #1362962), but remains
  unresolved in current releases.
