[Bug 2119215] Re: Battle within screen manager?
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:
* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
One thing which strikes me is that the hardware specs appears on the lower end, which might be affected by the load from a single application.
Have you looked at the system monitor to see if one application is using all the CPU, RAM or DISK IO?
** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu)

Title:
Battle within screen manager?
Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
- Installed Kubuntu 24 as new OS on a new drive.
- Right from the start there seems to be a window screen manager
conflict.
- Login and logout screen are flashing and the texts do not appear.
- Often a mouse klick has no effect, and the mouse klick has to be
repeated.
- Multiple times while working with multiple applications
( Discover and LibreOffice)
( LibreOffice and KiCad)
( KiCad, opening the symbol-libraries)
( Spectacle and ...)
the computer becomes very very very slow and seems te be locked.
Somehow the applications seems to get caught in an attention /priority
fight; cursor movements are hardly possible. Function keys have no
effect.
Computer Reset button; no effect
The only solution then is a Power Off Reset.
