The error message from DpkgTerminalLog.txt is not very helpful:

Can you please share what happens when you manually execute "systemctl
restart pptpd.service" and "journalctl -u pptpd.service"? This way we
might get to the actuall error message, which might be related to some
invalid configuration on your system..
