That is a bug with rclone. Fixed in … 1.66 I think?

Ubuntu is still using rclone 1.60. If they update, this should be fixed.

As for why deja Dup is using rclone now, we switched to using rclone for
cloud services instead of the variety of per-service Python backends we
were using before, some of which weren’t well maintained. Using rclone
also gives access to a lot more services.

I don’t know of a workaround except updating rclone.
