Message #05479
[Bug 2120715] [NEW] sudo has lost suid in 1.9.16p2-3ubuntu1 (amd64)
Public bug reported:
The sudo binary has lost the suid bit:
$ ls -lL /usr/bin/sudo
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1116808 Aug 11 11:25 /usr/bin/sudo
So it doesn't work:
"sudo-rs: sudo must be owned by uid 0 and have the setuid bit set"
$ lsb_release -rd
