But it might not even have been necessary, as it doesn't seem to include
new features; it's just a version major version bump to follow the GNOME
release schedule.

Bug description:
  mutter 49 will add a new dependency on glycin >= 2.0:
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/4554

  glycin 2.0 is currently available as a beta release:
  https://download.gnome.org/sources/glycin/2.0/

  Updating glycin to version 2.0 will require a transition of its C library from SONAME 1 to 2.
  There are no current users of the C library.
