[Bug 2122038] [NEW] Xorg freeze

Public bug reported:

After unsuspending a laptop with an external monitor attached, all the
content in the external monitor becomes unusable (the best way I can
describe it).

The external monitor's screen is a a mixture of terminals, emacs
windows, and firefox browser windows. I find I can not interact with any
of its content. None of it is selectable. Also, there is a peculiar
extraneous 'home' icon in the middle of the screen (lower right
quadrant), perhaps around the same place it would be if it were on the
main screen (which has lower resolution) - but maybe I'm inferring too
much.

I discovered that I can select (focus on) windows on the second monitor
via the window manager's side bar (on the main screen), by asking the
manager to show "All Windows" and selecting the window from there. After
that, I can use the selected window on the second monitor for a while.
If, however, I do anything that deselects the window (like clicking
anywhere else on the screen), I can no longer interact with it.

I suspect that restarting the window system will remediate the problem,
which is what I plan to do after submitting this report.
