Title:
Several programs crash, but session remains intact, when thunderbolt
dock is disconnected or powered off

Status in xwayland package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
All browsers, browser-based apps and (often) Konsole crash if the dock
is unplugged or loses power. System is a ThinkPad P16s, dock is
ThinkPad Type 40B0. kinfo output is:

  Operating System: Kubuntu 25.04
  KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.6
  KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0
  Qt Version: 6.8.3
  Kernel Version: 6.14.0-29-generic (64-bit)
  Graphics Platform: Wayland
  Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
  Memory: 27.1 GiB of RAM
  Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon 780M

I doesn't seem to happen if the dock is detached soon after a boot.
Later in the day, it almost certainly will. Perhaps it has to do with
  sleep and wake?

The login session is intact as the desktop remains responsive. Some
apps will not be affected, like KCalc or System Settings, sometimes
Konsole is spared. Tmux keeps running, so by using that rather than
Konsole's multiple tabs, I am able to reattach and continue unimpeded,
  there.

Unable to reproduce this on a live USB of KDE Neon, but that's built
on Ubuntu LTS. I have Kubuntu Backports installed as well. I normally
use two external monitors and leave the built-in screen off, but have
tried leaving the built-in one enabled to see if that would alleviate
the problem of having 'no wayland output'. It did not.
