Title:
microphone only recording white noises
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
When I try to use my built-in microphone, nothing is recorded but very
loud white noises. I managed to lower the volume of those noises using
alsamixer, but I still can't hear anything but those noises.
It may be irrelevant to you, but after some chatting with ChatGPT, it
told me that it's 'likely a driver/ALSA quirk issue: the Realtek
ALC256 codec in my Unowhy Y13 isn't correctly initialized under Linux'
I am using Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
pulseaudio is version 1:16.1+dfsg1-2ubuntu10.1
I expect to be at least able to hear my voice when I talk
Instead, I can only hear white noises and nothing else
