[Bug 525717] Re: Format paintbrush bug.

This does occur in LibreOffice too.

The problem is the "Format Paintbrush" affects the whole paragraph
instead of just the part you want to change. It always happens when the
font is changed from the default "Times New Roman" to something else
e.g. Arial.

Example: you have some text that's red, highlighted, a different size
and bold and you want to apply this elsewhere. You select that
formatted text and then use the "Format Paintbrush" to apply it
somewhere else in the document. When you do that, the whole paragraph
changes instead of just the part you changed with the Format Paintbrush.
What changes is the font in the paragraph - it changes to "Times New
Roman" instead of being left alone.

  Format paintbrush bug.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: openoffice.org

When you wish to copy the formatting of some text onto another piece
of text using the "format paintbrush", it nearly always changes the
whole paragraph! I want it to change the formatting of what I apply
it to, not ruin the whole paragraph lol.

Example: I have some text that is BOLD, SIZE 14 and DARK BLUE. I wish
to apply this formatting to a few words. When I do this, the whole
paragraph changes into the default font (Times New Roman, Size 12).

Note to OpenOffice.org: this happens in the Windows version of
  OpenOffice too.
