Title:
install archives failed

Bug description:
Binary package hint: b43-fwcutter
Trying to install ubuntu 9.10 on Asus a6000 for second time, after failing to get wireless connetion working first time round. During installation, message "No proprietary drivers are in use on this system".
BroadbandnB43 wireless driver.
After pressing activate button it comes back with "System error: InstallArchives()failed" despite being connected to internet by ethernet cable.
Didn't have any problems with 8.04, but gave up Ubuntu after trying
unsuccessfully to update to 9.04. Seems 9.10 may have the same
problems. Strangely, I use EEEbuntu 8.04 on my AsusEEE without
problems, but if I update to 9.04 it doesn't work.....
