In my installation firefox and thunderbird both have black menu font.
This happens after installation of kubuntu-desktop package.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: thunderbird

  Using the theme New Wave, Thunderbird has black text on the dark gray
  menu bar. Firefox and other applications have light text.
