[Bug 820374] Re: Empathy ignores denying contact requests
My idea is to have everyone this annoys submit a separate bug report, in
hopes of annoying the devs as much as the bug annoys the users. I'm
finding references to this dating back nearly two years but no action.

Title:
Empathy ignores denying contact requests
Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
When running empathy, I keep getting the same request from users to
see when I am on line. When I then click [No], the same request will
come up minutes later again. This seems to mostly happen via Yahoo!
and AIM, but I'm not sure, as I don't know how to see where a request
(or any chat for that matter) comes from.
I then would like to report the person bugging me, but there seems to
be no such option. This is important, as I get quite some spammerbots
chatting me up and they are only entertaining for so long..
