  No puedo formatear el disco duro para reisntalar el programa

Status in “gnome-system-monitor” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Bajando archivos musicales por a.Mule algunos me dan un icono de
  lectura y no el icono musical, quise formatear el sistema con un disco
  de Ubuntu 11.04  pero el disco al introducirlo en la unidad no
  arranca. ¿Como puedo solucionar el problema? He seguido los pasos de
  las instrucciones, pero se reepite mensaje de error.
