[Bug 829746] Re: Firefox update breaks addons

Sorry, but there's nothing we can do about third party extensions which
people run, and extension compatibility was about 96% at the time of the
Firefox 6 release. What *would* be a security issue is not providing an
update, and leaving all Ubuntu users with an insecure browser just
because a few obscure extensions aren't compatible yet

** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

** This bug is no longer flagged as a security vulnerability

Title:
  Firefox update breaks addons

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Updates in Natty will automatically upgrade to new Firefox versions as
  if they were minor point releases. This breaks addon compatibility,
  which - in addition to being annoying - is a security issue in the
  case of security enhancing addons like Perspectives.
