  Video settings are messed up and videos show with false colors and too
  dark

Status in “gstreamer0.10” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  When watching videos with totem, the picture is way too dark and also
  has wrong colors (kind of red-greenish looking). The same videos play
  fine using mplayer, but once totem has been running mplayer is no
  longer able to display the video properly either until X11 has been
  restarted.
