Title:
No way to let IRC channels opens when closing the window
Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: empathy
I don't know if it is possible, but it would be nice to have a way to
keep the channels connecter to IRC even when closing them. I'd like
them to stay connected on the channel even if the window is not open.
Running from the background, and poping a notification if someone says
my name.
I don't know if it's already possible, or if that feature was already
requested. But I guess it would be nice for those who are connected on
a lot of channels or those that wish to stay idle but stay on the
channels.
It's particularly useful when peoples connect from a BNC, which let
you connected on the IRC server.
