Title:
The gnome power applet randomly re-classifies my battery power

Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

My laptop is a Toshiba M11 Tecra, new a few weeks ago.

I'm not sure which package is to blame for this problem ... It may be
the gnome power applet, it may be the power management base software,
or it may be a kernel issue.

Yesterday the battery was reported as having an Energy capacity of ~
50 Wh using the gnome power applet. I put the system to suspend mode
overnight, but when I switched the system on this morning it booted
from atoms, rather than restoring. Today the battery is reported as
having 19 Wh of capacity ! It looks as though this figure is
increasing slowly ... Also all of the charge / discharge profile /
accuracy data has been lost. See attached screenshot of the power
  details page.

My guess is that this may have been caused by the system not actually
going into suspend mode ... and running the battery out, but that is
just guesswork. Maybe someone could comment.
