Title:
Laptop backlight is dim after waking up from Suspend
Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
My laptop backlight is often extremely bright, as I like it and as it
should be. However, after waking the computer up after being
Suspended, the light is extremely dim, regardless of whether it is
plugged in or not. Furthermore, I have the brightness turned all the
way up in the System Preferences.
Ubuntu version is the latest version, 10.04 lucid. Kernel is Linux
2.6.32-24-generic. Gnome version is 2.30.2. Computer is an HP Pavilion
Entertainment PC (with the 17'' screen that is extremely difficult to
find laptop cases for). Memory is 2.7 GB, Processor is AMD Turion X2
Dual-Core Mobile RM-70. Graphics card is ATi. Backlight does NOT have
an ambient light sensor.
