[Bug 805138] Re: GNOME/Gtk "open file" dialog doesn't show gvfs mounted (remote) file systems
I'm marking this bug as triaged since it was reported upstream. GNOME
and GTK apps can use the filechooser to open from or save to remote file
systems but this is opt in. If any particular app doesn't have this
functionality turned on and you think it should, please file a bug
against that app.

Bug description:
Steps to reproduce:
1) Nautilus / Connect to SSH server, add favourite for it
2) Start Gnome/Gtk application
3) Try to open a file from this remote location
Expected results:
* The SSH mount should be available in the shortcuts part of the Open dialog
Real result:
* The SSH mount is not available in the shortcuts part of the Open dialog
Workaround:
* Show hidden files and navigate to ~/.gvfs/name of SSH connection in the Open dialog
