Title:
evince 'dual' setting does not persist across documents
Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: evince
At some stage between Jaunty and Lucid the behaviour of evince in
representing documents has changed for the worse.
Previously evince kept the setting for 'Dual' from the last opened
document, while now every new document is opened with the default
state of not-'Dual'. I understand that this was probably a feature
design decision and that defaulting to non-'Dual' is more sensible
than 'Dual', however it is very irritating when a large screen is
being used that could other wise be utilised to view both pages.
A feature request would be to have a global default preference that
allows the choice to be made by the user for all new documents.
