  Jaunty: gdm automatic login stops working after a while

Status in “gdm” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  I am using 9.04 Jaunty Jackrabbit.

  During installation of ubuntu, I set the 'automatically login' option
  for my one user account. It's still set in the login preferences, but
  I am no longer automatically logged in. It worked fine for a couple of
  bootups, but now I get the usual gdm login screen to type in username
  and password.
