Generally, this means that the file manager crashed. Just opening your
file manager should be sufficient to restart the desktop-drawing part.
(You don't need to keep your file manager open.)

There isn't enough information in this bug report to do much with
understanding what went wrong or how to fix it more specifically than
that.

  cannot access themes,wallpaper by clicking right mouse key

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  problem happened a couple of days ago --went to check about changing
  wallpaper,themes, could not access anything to do with desktop-icons
  are gone also from desktop. any help to restore or have to go to
  previous point appreciated.......... Is this a problem w/11.04 ?
