Title:
Contacts window froze after selecting a contact
Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: evolution
1.Ubuntu: I upgraded to 11.04 on Sunday 15/04/2011.
2. evolution: Installed: 2.32.2-0ubuntu7
3. I wanted to access a particular contact.
4. From the Inbox window, I selected contacts, then typed a partial name in the search box.
That name & summary details came in the next window.
However,
I could not open the contact's detailed set of windows/tabs.
I could not close the window.
The mouse & keyboard stilled worked, but could not be used to do anything on the window. I was able to use ctl/alt/D to return to the desktop.
Eventually, I minimised the main window (I can't remember what changed to enable me to do this), then maximised it. Both this window & the contacts window were greyed-out.
I was able to close the windows.
I then re-opened evolution & used "report a problem" to get the opportunity to report the bug.
Regards, Garry.
