Title:
gdm is degenerating
Status in “gdm” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Hi,
until recently gdm was a flexible and easy to configure desktop
manager, with a gdm.conf where you could easily configure different
options, with a good graphical frontend to configuration, and it
offered options for locales and keyboard mappings at login time. gdm
was able to provide xdm sessions directly and indirectly.
But now, all these good features seem to have gone. gdm provides a
really dumb login screen, no options except for the desktop method.
No configuration file, no xdm options, not even a man page.
What happened to gdm?
