[Bug 833220] Re: LibreOffice pauses loading when starting a document from nautilus
Prada thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. The
short answer is no this is not a bug. One method to speed up initial
loading is to use the no logo switch via the Terminal:
lowriter -nologo example.odt
Please feel free to report any future bugs you may find.

Title:
LibreOffice pauses loading when starting a document from nautilus
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
If I open a LibreOffice app from menu, it takes about 1 second, but if
I double click any document from Nautilus it takes about 19 seconds,
most of the time I have the LibreOffice logo box and nothing is
happening. I looked for "LibreOffice slow to load" and find solutions
about fixing the hosts file, a slow dns search and so on, is this a
bug?
