[Bug 691428] Re: Needs configuration tool
I'm closing this as "Wont Fix" as based on the way LightDM is being used
it doesn't need to provide its own configuration tool. Desktops that
use LightDM should make a tool / integrate LightDM options into their
existing interfaces. There's some good information in this bug so
please move it to another bug (i.e. a KDE System Settings bug, etc) if
you want to use it.

Title:
Needs configuration tool
Status in Light Display Manager:
Won't Fix
Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Make a GTK+/QT based configuration tool that can configure the default user/theme etc information.
It may be worth looking at the GDM configuration tool used in Ubuntu/Debian (carried as a patch on the GDM source).
The daemon should not need to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
Some thought needs to be put into making some standard configuration that can be shared between greeters (e.g. background).
Bonus points for automatically updating active greeters.
Bonus points for writing it in Vala.
