Didn't work, same result. I used:

   57  xrandr -o inverted
   58  xrandr -o left
   59  xrandr -o normal

Bug description:
  I rotated the screen 180*, then clockwise, and was left with this (see
  screenshot). Changing the resolution back and forth fixed it.
