Thanks for reporting this. We have a few questions that can help us
resolve the issue:

1. Does this occur when you start firefox with a new profile?
Instructions for doing this can be found at

2. When Firefox crashed, did a crash report dialogue appear, and did you
send a crash report to Mozilla?

3. Can you please submit an Apport report? This can be done by opening Terminal and typing: apport-collect 835424
The report will be added to this bug automatically.
