  Intermittently gdm does not start

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gdm

  Sometimes, when booting, gdm doesn't start. When the system start up
  is complete I am presented with a text login prompt rather than the
  gdm screen that I expect.

  I can start gdm from the command line using 'sudo service gdm start'
  without problem.
